What Richard Juwah, CEO Of Richee Media Has To Say On Building A Digital Marketing Agency

Today, Richeetech caught up with Richard Juwah, the fast talking, extremely knowledgeable 25-year-old CEO/Founder of Richee Media, arguably one of the most customer centric digital marketing agencies in Nigeria yet.

Just like when we covered Opga.online, in this interview, we take a look at how Richee Media came to be and the lessons it’s Founder has learnt growing the business to what it is today.

RT: Can we meet you, sir?

Richard: My name is Richard Juwah, I founded and run Richee Media, one of Nigeria’s leading Martech digital marketing agencies with a mission to help businesses achieve their business goals through disruptive digital marketing strategies focused on results.

RT: What exactly is Richee Media into?

Richard: We help businesses and brands reach a wider, more targeted and interested audience on the internet with the aim of growing their profits exponentially via the aid of digital marketing.

Some of the services we offer include Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Web design, Social media marketing & management, Influencer marketing, Content creation & marketing, among others.

RT: When did you begin the Agency? At what time did you say, let’s start this and what was your driving force?

Richard: I have always been a strong lover and advocate for internet and mobile technology since i was a child. We started in 2016. Back then, we were known as Lasgidi Online.

We then renamed to Richeecorp Technologies. We finally settled on Richee Media once we fully got to flesh out the core of what it was we were all about.

RT: And how has the journey been so far? How would you compare starting out and now?

Richard: When i was just starting out, i began with just one service offering, and that was WordPress Web design. I would walk for hours under the hot sun in suit and tie submitting web design proposal letters to schools, Hotels and churches to no avail.

My first client was actually my mother in way of a $70 (N25,000) web design project for her soon to start foreign education startup. Getting clients was really difficult back then. It was hard convincing the business owners around Ipaja area of Lagos why they needed a website in this day and age.

Now we get well over 10 marketing briefs every month and service a range of clients both locally and abroad, a few of which include Client Niche promotional gifts in Lagos, Nigeria, Justrite Superstore, Korapay, Tasty Tom among others.

RT: What would you say is your biggest lesson(s) running one’s own Digital marketing agency in Nigeria these past 3 years plus?

Richard: I would say:

Number 1: Consistency is key to achieve anything.

Number 2: It’s a fast paced industry; be prepared for the quick turnover of your employees and try not to take it personal.

Number 3: The industry is ridiculously competitive. You have to continually innovate to stay ahead of the competition.

Number 4: The customer comes first. Everything you do must be centered around them. You have to be ready to subjugate your individual needs below that of the client.

Number 5: Believe in yourself; believe in God. Believe that without God, you cannot do it by yourself.
