Here’s my expert opinion on how I personally repair damaged or corrupted Mov video files on my Windows powered system.
So if you read my blog very often, you’d know that this post is a little different from what I typically publish here on Richeetech. However, I’m taking a detour this once because I need to let you all in on a seriously big secret…
I’m a big movie buff, admittedly. So when ever I have a really awesome movie to watch, it gets me totally worked up.
Now, I’ve developed this very odd habit of preferring to watch my movies at the same time I’m eating something nice. It makes the movie even sweeter 😊.
The big problem
Anyway, I had this sort of setup ready two nights ago and was about to begin watching an episode of Smallville when I realized to my utter horror that the entire season 6 I had just downloaded with my company’s WiFi (as the sharp guy weh I be 😎) had all become corrupted.
I was devastated.
What had happened? How did what had happened happen? Was I just going to let what happened happen?

I didn’t prepare such a delicious meal and download an entire season just to not be able to watch it.
A light at the end of the tunnel
Quickly, I hit up Google and searched for any software that repaired Mov video files.
As it turned out, their website also stated that not only did their software fix Mov files, but it also repairs videos of MP4 and M4V format on Mac OS X and Windows operating system.
It can also repair MOV, M4V and MP4 videos created using DSLR, camera, camcorder and even smartphones.

I thought to myself, if this could save my movies, I definitely would tell as much people as I possibly could about it.
And that’s exactly what I’m doing right now.
How I repaired my damaged Mov video files using the Remo Repair Mov tool
To cut the long story short, I headed over to the website, downloaded the Windows software and launched it.
Once the program was launched, I clicked on the “Healthy File” button and selected a working MOV video file to use as a reference.
Then I selected the damaged MOV video files that i wanted to repair one by one using the “Corrupted File” option and clicked on the “Repair” button.
The process actually didn’t take too long before it was done.
After the repair process was completed, I clicked “Preview the repaired file” to see if all was well again and to my utter surprise, my movies were back! They were now watchable with all error messages totally gone!
To round it up, I hit the “Save” button and saved it to my Series folder on my Windows Laptop.
