Domainking.ng is a fraudulent web hosting company in Nigeria. They have dupped me of my money twice. Firstly, i made a payment of N3600 for one year shared web hosting. They claimed that they didn’t see my transaction and my money was gone.

Secondly, on another occasion, I made another payment of the same amount for another shared host service on domainking.ng They gave me the service and they suspended it before 48 hours.

They don’t even have a physical address or phone number. Don’t fall victim like i did. Be careful

DomainKing are cheats! The reviews I have been seeing so far online are all lies! They just ripped me off my money and today marks the fourth day I have been messaging them with no one to respond. Is this what you call good customer support?

All the customer support options are dead including the in-house support ticket. They are also totally unactive on social media and it seems nobody is listening at all to customer but just for them to run series of ads to get more people to purchase without delivering the service.

This email support@domainking.ng is totally robot-friendly and no one will reply from it.

Please stay away from them or else, you will feel the pain I am feeling with this company…I just got to know they are not even domiciled in Nigeria but from India which is really bad and I will soon file a report to the federal government about them.

Imagine, if it takes a company 48-72 hours to reply customer support tickets, what is now the fate of such client in the face of downtime or issues?

Indeed they are the worst! I have been experiencing some down time on my website for some time now. My business is gone. Clients are on my neck. To make matter worse non of their support is responding.

Gigalayer Review

Domainking, Gigalayer, Smartweb, Qservers Review

By Mark Holden (2.5/5 rating)

They don’t allow for month-to-month pricing. It means one cannot even say they’ll just try one month and test their services first. They literally force you to purchase a full year or more. They also don’t have live chat function on their website. That’s not very professional.

I bought Gigalayer, hosting package of N20,000 on 1st December 2018, after I conected my new site which took some time to come live, i started having connection issues with the hosting, my site was always showing “ERROR IN NETWORK CONNECTION”.

I contacted their support several times, every day, after several days and there were failed attempts to fix the error, they migrated me to another hosting package, the connection was back for only a day and resumed the same issue, meanwhile is been up to 2 weeks, 2 weeks of no work on my new site having to wait for their silly support.

I became tired and asked for a refund only for them to call and promise tecnical fix, I was migrated to another package again but the trouble continued. And this was not the only issue, the package I bought had an upload space which couldn’t allow my theme to upload, it took 10 GOOD DAYS FOR THEM TO FIX THIS! SO FRUSTRATING!

Imagine my website being down for 1 week…they deleted my databse and redirected my website to another site… RUN WITH YOUR MONEY, DON’T USE THEM.

Smartweb Review

Review of Domainking, Gigalayer, Smartweb, Qservers

By Joshua Bulus (2/5 rating)

If only the actual service (web hosting) was as reliable as their PR. The one thing they still haven’t been able to get right is the actual service, which is supposed to be the core of their business – the web hosting.

Their servers are a joke, to say the least. I don’t imagine that any real business who relies on website uptime will have their website on Smartweb’s crappy servers… so if you are looking for a cheap joke of a server, enjoy.

One annoying difficulty I had was navigating within my account dashboard after logging in as the site keeps on signing me out every now and then , At this point I was frustrated ‘cos I have to log in over and over again without being re-directed to where I left off before the log in issues.

Poor Customer Support : This was a total turn off for me initially when I started using their services till I learnt to get used to it, at times support tickets take like one whole week to get a cold reply that depicts inefficiency and unprofessionalism.

Qservers Review

By Victor Akan (1/5 rating)

Qservers hosting service is wack!
If you have a well to do site or blog, please I’m begging you, don’t host your domain with Qservers. They suspend accounts anyhow and you won’t be able to have access to your site again.

By Richard Juwah (1/5 rating)

Qservers was the first hosting company i ever used. Back then 2016, i was initially delighted to use it because i had had issues sending payment for foreign hosts whereas these guys accepted bank transfer. What would follow next was unexpected.

Their client services was so unresponsive. The website was slow AF! I kept getting these regular downtimes like twice a month and my blog would be out over night.

Save to say, once my one year plan elapsed, i disappeared at once with immediate alacrity.

I hope this review of Domainking, Gigalayer, Smartweb, and Qservers have really helped you choose what hosting service will serve you best. Yes, granted, Nigerian hosting companies are far cheaper than their foreign counterparts.

In my experience I’ve realised that its not everything that is cheap that serves you best. You may pay less now but when all the troubles begin to surface, you’ll wish you simply hosted your website with either Siteground or Blue Host. They’re the best in the world.

You won’t value peace of mind now until you understand what a terrible business decision it is to host your site on any Nigerian hosting platform.

  1. Your reviews are one-sided and bias

You just placed ratings from one points leveraging the negative points to offer people your affiliate links.

Nigerians. That’s bad. Honestly. I’ve used Bluehost, Namecheap and smartweb.

To be honest, Smartweb have a great customer support añd a good average uptime for a Nigerian host than other providers.

    1. We can’t be here bad mouthing other people’s business just to get people to click your affiliate links. I have been using SmartWeb for almost 4 years, no issue at all all these while. SmartWeb has a very good SEO ranking for every website. I remember hosting my site on SmartWeb and 1 week later it got the first spot when searched. Peace
